These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tailstays website at www.tailstays.com (“the Service”), operated by KJC International Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Tailstays is a platform that connects pet owners with pet boarding facilities across the United Kingdom.
We are an intermediary — we do not own, operate, or manage any pet boarding facility listed on our platform. Hotels listed on Tailstays are independent businesses.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account or using the site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and your account information accurate. You may only hold one account per person.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
4. How the Service Works
We facilitate booking enquiries between pet owners and hotels. Submitting an enquiry is a request, not a confirmed booking — hotels decide independently whether to accept.
Any arrangement you make with a hotel is solely between you and that hotel. Tailstays is not a party to that arrangement.
Your personal and pet data is shared with the specific hotel you enquire with, subject to your consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. User Conduct
When using the Service, you must not:
- Provide false or misleading information, including about pet health, vaccination status, or behavioural information — this directly affects animal welfare
- Misuse, scrape, use automated access on, or interfere with the Service
- Impersonate another person or organisation
6. Hotel Listings
Unclaimed listings
Some listings are created using publicly available information. This data is provided on an “as is” basis and may contain inaccuracies, outdated details, or omissions. We do not verify unclaimed listing information and make no guarantees about its accuracy or completeness.
Claimed listings
When a hotel claims their listing, they take responsibility for keeping their listing details (including descriptions, pricing, facilities, photos, and contact information) accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for information provided by hotels on claimed listings.
In both cases, hotels are independent businesses responsible for their own services, facilities, pricing, licensing, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
Pet boarding facilities in England are required to hold a licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 — verifying this is between you and the hotel.
You should always confirm details directly with the hotel before making any booking arrangements.
7. Your Privacy
How we collect and use your data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Tailstays, you acknowledge that you have read it.
8. Third-Party Links
Our site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. hotel websites). We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We are not liable for:
- The accuracy of any listing information, whether unclaimed or claimed
- The quality or safety of any hotel's services or facilities
- Any dispute between you and a hotel
- Any loss arising from reliance on listing information
- Service interruptions or errors
Our total liability to you is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@tailstays.com.
Sections on liability, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by placing a prominent notice on the site.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
